Creating Stand-alone Brand

Brand can be Trade or Non-Trade but adding new record is basically the same for both.

You normally use Trade for purchasing and Non-Trade is for internal purposes only.

Adding Main Information

Go to PRODUCT (Menu) > Brand (Sidebar Menu) -> Trade (Sub Menu)

Brand Page with some default values will be displayed in MAIN tab.

Label ending with an asterisk * indicates that the field is mandatory.

Brand ID

This is a required field and a unique identifier that represents a record. User may enter up to 30 characters long to provide a unique brand ID.

Brand Name

This is a required field which describes the brand. User may provide additional information to describe the brand.

Brand Origin

This is a required field which allows user to select a valid brand origin. This is predefined in the system and is displayed via dropdown/select field.
User should only select from the provided list.

Manufacturer

This is an optional field. It is used to help identify the maker of the specific brand.

Country

This is a required field. User can use the magnifying glass to search for existing country.

Country record must exist in Country Page prior to creating product.
This field is used to identify originating country of the brand.
If the user knows already the country, he can input it on the field and press the “Enter” key. If a blue hyperlink appears next to the magnifying glass icon, it indicates that the country entered is valid.

o The blue hyperlink next to the magnifying glass is the country description which allows users to easily navigate to the Country Page if he has access to view country information.

To create new stand-alone Brand:

Go to PRODUCT (Menu) > Brand (Side Menu) > Trade (Sub-menu)

Click on the add icon on the left side of the grid

User must enter any a unique Brand ID valued

User must enter any a descriptive Brand Name value

Select Brand Origin from dropdown

User may provide Manufacturer value

Click on the magnifying glass next to Country input field and provide a description or leave blank to search all. Then click the search button on the right side. This action will prompt the system to initiate the search process

After clicking the search button, all results are displayed below. User must select from the search results

The Country search page will be automatically closed, and the selected country is loaded in the Brand page

User can save the record. New Brand record should be created
