Adding Main Information
- Inventory Adjustment can be Trade or Non-Trade but adding new record is
basically the same for both.
- You normally use Trade to purchase goods and Non-Trade is for internal
purposes only.
Go to INVENTORY (Menu) > Inventory Adjustment (Sidebar Menu) -> Trade (Sub Menu)
Inventory Adjustment Page with some default values will be displayed in MAIN tab.
Label ending with an asterisk * indicates that the field is mandatory.
Transaction ID (Inventory Adjustment ID)
- This is a unique identifier that represents a transaction.
- This is a system generated field when a transaction is initially recorded.
Workflow Type
- DEFAULT is the default value on add mode.
- This is a required field and used to determine the business process of the transaction,
whether it requires approval or not.
GL Account
- This is a required field. User can use the magnifying glass to search for existing GL
account number.
- GL Account Number record must exist in Admin Chart of Accounts page.
- The blue hyperlink next to the magnifying glass is the GL account number description
which allows users to easily navigate to the Chart of Accounts page if he has access to
view chart of accounts information.
Adjustment Reason
- This is a required field which allows user to select a valid reason for this adjustment.
This
is predefined in the system and is displayed via dropdown/select field.
- User should only select from the provided list.
Remarks
- This is an optional field with a maximum length of 1000 characters and is used externally
to convey vital information.

Notes

Posting Date
- This is a system generated field which contains the date when the user posts the
transaction.
Status
- This is a system generated field based on the selected workflow which indicates the
specific phase / process of the transaction.
Sequence Number
- This is a primary key used to sort the products in ascending order.
- In add mode, this is editable. This cannot be edited after it has been saved.
Product
- This is a required field. User can use magnifying glass to search for existing product.
- Product record must exist in Product Page prior creating inventory adjustment.
- This field is used to identify what specific items / services that the inventory must be
adjusted.
- If the user knows already the product code, he can input it on the field and press the
“Enter” key. If a blue hyperlink appears next to the magnifying glass icon, it indicates
that the product code entered is valid.
- The blue hyperlink next to the magnifying glass is the concatenated brand name, catalog
number, product description and product code which allows users to easily navigate to
the Product Page if he has access to view product Information.
Total Quantity
- This is a required field that allows number with two decimal places. It is used to indicate
the number of products that the inventory must be adjusted.
Base UOM (Unit of Measurement)
- This is a read-only field and is auto-populated based on the selected Product value.

Bin/Warehouse
- This icon will display the Stock Location table grid and must be populated for each of the
product/item added in the product table grid. On second click the Stock Location table
grid will be hidden again.
Batch/Serial No.
- This is a required field which defines the number indicating place in a series and used as
a means of identification.
- This field is visible in the printed document.
Warehouse
- This is a required field. The user can use magnifying glass to search for a warehouse
record.
- Warehouse record must exist in Warehouse Page prior creating inventory adjustment.
- This field is used to specify the location from where the products will be obtained.
- If the user knows already the warehouse code, he can input it on the field and press the
“Enter” key. If a blue hyperlink appears next to the magnifying glass icon, it indicates
that the warehouse code entered is valid.
- The blue hyperlink next to the magnifying glass is the warehouse name which allows
users to easily navigate to the Warehouse Page if he has access to view warehouse
Information.
Bin Location
- This is a required field which defines the smallest addressable unit of space in a
warehouse where your goods are stored. The user can use magnifying glass to search for
a bin location record.
- Bin Location record must exist in Warehouse page prior creating sales return.
- If the user knows already the bin location code, he can input it on the field and press
the “Enter” key. If a blue hyperlink appears next to the magnifying glass icon, it indicates
that the bin location code entered is valid.
- The blue hyperlink next to the magnifying glass is the bin location description which
allows users to easily navigate to the Warehouse page if he has access to view
warehouse Information.
Quantity
- This is a required field that allows number values. It is used to indicate the number of
products that a customer has purchased that has to be fulfilled.
Unit Cost
- This field is grayed and non-editable. It is used to identify the price / cost per unit of
a
product / service.
Production Date
- This is an optional field. A production date is the date when an item was first created or
manufactured. It can be useful for determining the age of a product.
Expiration Date
- This is an optional field. An expiration date is the last day a product is safe to use or
consume. Expiration dates are important for food, medicine, and other products to
ensure their quality and safety
