Stand-alone Customer Payment

Go to Finance (Menu) > Customer Payment (Sub-menu)

Sidebar menu

Blank Customer Payment page with some default values will be displayed in MAIN tab.

To create new stand-alone Customer Payment:

  1. On Customer Payment page, search for a customer by clicking the magnifying glass next to Customer input field and search by Customer Name. You may enter any value to filter the search or just leave it blank to search all. Then click the search button on the right side. This action will prompt the system to initiate the search process.

  2. After clicking the search button, all results are displayed below the Customer ID search criteria. Select from search results.

  3. The customer search page will be automatically closed, and the selected Customer is loaded in the Customer Payment page. Also notice that some information (e.g. Currency and Exchange Rate) will be inherited from the customer into the customer payment.

  4. To determine what value to provide in the required Total Payment Amount field, proceed first on grid table to add a Sales Invoice and leave the amount blank for now. Click on the magnifying glass next to Sales Invoice input field and provide a Created From and To values. Then click the search button on the right side. This action will prompt the system to initiate the search process.

  5. After clicking the search button, all results are displayed below. Select from search results by checking the checkbox on the left side of the results and click on OK button. Note that user may select one or multiple records from the search results.

  6. The sales invoice search page will be automatically closed, and the selected invoice(s) is/are loaded in the Customer Payment page.

  7. User must enter an Amount Paid value.

  8. User must enter Payment Date.

  9. Search for a payment mode by clicking the magnifying glass next to Payment Mode input field. You may enter any value to filter the search or just leave it blank to search all. Then click the search button on the right side. This action will prompt the system to initiate the search process.

  10. After clicking the search button, all results are displayed below the Payment Mode search criteria. Select from search results.

  11. The payment mode search page will be automatically closed, and the selected Payment Mode is loaded in the Customer Payment page.

  12. Search for a GL account number by clicking the magnifying glass next to GL Account Number input field. You may enter any value to filter the search or just leave it blank to search all. Then click the search button on the right side. This action will prompt the system to initiate the search process.

  13. After clicking the search button, all results are displayed below the Account Number search criteria. Select from search results.

  14. The Sub Account Number search page will be automatically closed, and the selected GL Account Number is loaded in the Customer Payment page.

  15. Populate the Total Payment Amount with the same value as Applied Amount. Note that it’s not allowed to provide Total Payment Amount lower than the Applied Amount value. Notice also that Unapplied Amount is equal to zero once the provided Total Payment Amount is equal to Applied Amount value.

  16. User may populate other optional field and then click on Save to create new transaction in draft status.
